Apple/Mac Instructions

MAC Users:  On 11/1/16 ExamSoft announced it is now supporting the macOS Sierra operating system. You can make this upgrade now.  Also on January 1, 2017 they will discontinue support of Mac OSX 10.7 (Lion) and Mac OSX 10.8 (Mountain Lion).  They will not be blocked, however ExamSoft will no longer guarantee compatibility on these devices.

 

On 4/10/17 ExamSoft announced a recent update to MacOS Sierra 10.12.4 on 3/24/17 is causing mid-exam freezes.  Please refrain from making this update if you have not already done so.  ExamSoft understands the root cause of the problem and is working to resolve the issue as soon as possible.  If you do experience a freeze during an exam, wait 1-2 mins. before restarting the laptop.  You should be restored to the last 1 minute backup.  Otherwise, finish the exam in a blue book and bring your laptop to Room 304 at the end of the exam.
