Study Abroad - China - Program Costs

Application deadline is January 30, 2017

Estimated Total Costs:

A $1,000 nonrefundable deposit, which goes toward tuition, is due at the time of completing the application. The estimated program cost of $7,390 which includes tuition, airfare, lodging and many meals. Included are comprehensive course materials, welcoming and closing dinners, scheduled group transportation and admission costs to local attractions, and the cost of the Medex card (which provides for emergency evacuation anywhere in China).

Please note that incidentals are not included in the price.

Cancellation Policy

We do not envision canceling the Summer Program unless the State Department determines that travel to the PRC is dangerous to the health or safety of foreign visitors. Should that occur, the students would be immediately notified by email. Full refunds will be made, and all students will be provided with the option of joining another summer program sponsored by the Law School.

Refund Policy

Duquesne University reserves the right to cancel the program due to insufficient enrollment or other extraordinary emergency conditions. Only in that case will the $1,000 application deposit will be refunded.

NOTE: Students who withdraw from the program after the Jan.30, 2017 application deadline, even if before the start of the program, are liable for any corresponding costs already incurred by Duquesne, including, but not limited to, airfare, hotel and transportation costs, up to the amount of the initial deposit.
