Career Services for Alumni

 

The Career Services Office offers a complete line of services to Duquesne Law alumni including:

  • Career counseling and one-on-one assistance with resume writing, interviewing techniques, interpersonal skills, and job search strategies;
  • Job postings for alumni online via DuqLawConnect. DuqLawConnect also includes various directories, such as the Pittsburgh Area Law Firm Directory - Allegheny, Beaver, Butler, Washington, and Westmoreland Counties; The CSO Handbook; and virtual Resume Books;
  • The Resume Bank;
  • The Common Plea – a resource with links to  job postings, information about professional development and job search topics (including The CSO Handbook), articles of interest, a listing of bar associations and professional organizations, and more;
  • Mock Interviews with members of the CSO staff or on-line via InterviewStream (a web-based platform);
  • Alumni Mentor Program that connects students and recent graduates with alumni for the purposes of offering advice on job search, networking skills and for sharing personal experiences in making the transition from law student to lawyer;
  • Reciprocity for alumni to access another law school's career services office when they intend to relocate to another city or state; and
  • Books and other career planning resources that may be borrowed from the CSO Resource Center;
  • Alumni networking opportunities.
