Karen M. Xander, M.S., is the LEPG paralegal manager for the global law firm of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius. She has been teaching in Duquesne University’s Paralegal Institute since 2004, and she is currently a member of the Institute’s faculty advisory board.  Xander has worked in the legal industry for over 30 years, performing almost every supportive job in a law firm including billing, information technology, law librarian, legal secretary, and paralegal.  

She has been a litigation paralegal for over 20 years, working in various areas of law, including labor and employment, intellectual property, medical malpractice, personal injury, insurance defense, family law, and product liability, among others.  She has been with Morgan Lewis for 14 years.  Xander earned an M.S. from Duquesne University in leadership and a B.A. from University of Pittsburgh in writing, and she holds a Legal Assistant Certificate from Robert Morris (College, now University).
