Bloomberg BNA 

ACLL users have access to the ABA/BNA Lawyer's Manual on Professional Conduct, Americans with Disabilities Act Manual, BNA Labor and Employment Library, Criminal Law Reporter, Employment Discrimination Reporter, Family Law Reporter, Tax Management Portfolios and United States Law Week.  (remote access not enabled.)


CCH - Intelliconnect (Human Resources Library and Business Compliance Library)

Access from an ACLL computer using Intelliconnect. (Alternatively, the Intelliconnect Login/Password page may be used by patrons who wish to create and use their own CCH user ID and password).

 


eCode360 (Muncipal Codes)

Free access to select local municipal codes is available via eCode360 by General Code.  ACLL patrons also have in library access to the subscription version of eCode360 which allows for more advanced searching and provides access to ordinances not yet incorporated into the code.  Please ask at the ACLL Circulation desk for login information.

 


Fastcase

Fastcase gives access to federal law, state law in all 50 states, and special courts including the Board of Tax Appeals and U.S. Customs Court. Loislaw treatises are also included.  An ACLL Borrower's card is required for login at ACLL and/or remotely. Access is limited to ACLL Borrower's Card holders at firms with 60 or fewer lawyers. 


HeinOnline

HeinOnline provides a number of search and browse features for over two hundred law reviews and the Federal Register, providing the exact page image of legal journals.  Journal holdings typically begin from a journal's inception to its most current volume.

 


LegalTrac 

LegalTrac offers indexing for over 800 major law reviews, legal newspapers, specialty law publications, bar association journals and thousands of law-related articles from general interest publications.  (Remote-access available)

Lexis

Lexis Advance is a full-text legal information retrieval system. Allegheny County Law Library access is limited to: PENNSYLVANIA court cases, statutes (legislative materials), administrative materials, Pennsylvania journals and law reviews, and Pennsylvania secondary materials. ACLL users may also access to FEDERAL materials includes: cases, statutes (congressional materials), and administrative materials. Additionally, appellate cases, statutes and administrative codes from all 50 states are available to ACLL users. ACLL users also have access to SHEPARD's CITATIONS for the entire database.

 


LLMC-Digital

Ever-expanding full-text legal title database. Currently, LLMC-Digital features federal administrative agency decisions. (Remote-access available)

 


Loislaw (Now available in Fastcase)

Loislaw provides access to case law, statutes and acts, administrative rules and regulations, and court rules for federal and state jurisdictions.  Loislaw also provides access to secondary law materials including treatises, bar publications and forms and checklists. An ACLL Borrower's card is required for login at ACLL and/or remotely. Access is limited to ACLL Borrower's Card holders at firms with 60 or fewer lawyers.

 


Making of Modern Law

Making of Modern Law is a comprehensive full-text collection of over 21,000 legal works published during the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. (Remote-access available)

 


SmartLitigator (formerly Palawlibrary.com)

SmartLitigator provides access to several key Pennsylvania legal research sources. Coverage includes Pennsylvania District & County Reports (1977-present), selected Pennsylvania county opinions not published in the D&C, Pennsylvania Law Weekly: Digests of Recent Opinions (1994-present), Philadelphia City Solicitor opinions, and Pennsylvania court rules.

Westlaw

Westlaw is a full-text legal information retrieval system. Allegheny County Law Library access is limited to: PENNSYLVANIA court cases, statutes (Legislative materials) and administrative materials, Pennsylvania law journals and law reviews, and certain Pennsylvania secondary materials, as well as FEDERAL court cases (U.S. Supreme Court and PA Federal Cases) and statutory (congressional) materials. ACLL access also includes KEYCITE for the entire database.
