Clinical professors participate in ABA's Equal Justice Conference

Friday, May 5, 2017

Associate Clinical Professor Tracey McCants Lewis gave the opening talk at the Law School Pro Bono Advisors national meetings in Pittsburgh in May. McCants Lewis presented "Pro Bono Advocates" and led a discussion about how to inspire law students to be successful pro bono advocates in light of challenges facing legal service organizations and law schools across the country.

The pro bono advisor meetings were held on May 3, 2017, a day before the three-day Equal Justice Conference sponsored by the National Legal Aid and Defender Association and the American Bar Association's Standing Committee on Pro Bono and Public Service. McCants Lewis and Assistant Professor Katherine Norton, interim co-directors of Duquesne Law's Clinical Legal Education program, served on the conference host committee and helped to plan the national event.

Assistant Clinical Professor Tiffany Sizemore-Thompson participated in a panel discussion on juvenile justice issues and joined her colleagues in attending other key sessions.
