Duquesne Law participates in 49th MABLSA Convention

Duquesne Law is proud to support the 49th Annual Mid-Atlantic Black Law Students Association (MABLSA) Convention. The event is being held in Pittsburgh Feb. 15-19, 2017. 

In addition to being a conference sponsor, Duquesne Law faculty, administrators, and students are participating in conference programs and special events.

 

 

FEB. 16, 2017

8 a.m.

Second-year law student Taylor Corn, president of Duquesne Law’s Black Law Students Association, will introduce Dean Ella Kwisnek, assistant dean of students and vice dean of the evening division at the convention’s opening ceremonies. Dean Kwisnek will welcome attendees to the convention and Pittsburgh.

4:30 p.m.

The Office of Admissions, led by Sarah Rethage, assistant dean and executive director of admissions, will participate in the MABLSA Pre-Law Event – Pittsburgh Boot Camp. 

 

FEB. 16, 2017

2:45 p.m.

Duquesne Law’s Career Services Office and Samatha Coyne, the employment outreach manager, will participate in the Professional Attire Panel Discussion.  

4 p.m.

Maria Comas, L’00, director of the Career Services Office, will lend her expertise to the Mock Interview and Resume Critique Workshop.

Evening

Tracey McCants Lewis, assistant clinical professor and pro bono coordinator, will receive an award at the MABLSA Annual Alumni Reception.

 

FEB. 18, 2017

1:30 p.m.

Professor McCants Lewis will participate on the MABLSA Advocacy Luncheon: Getting Involved in the Fight panel discussion.
