Duquesne Law stress reduction program gains attention

Tuesday, May 2, 2017

The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review featured a new Duquesne Law initiative where students can learn to play the ukulele to relieve stress. The Trib writer, Chris Togneri, visited a recent ukulele class and produced a video about the project.

The law school's Office of Student Organizations worked with Duquesne's Mary Pappert School of Music to arrange and staff the classes. Duquesne's Student Bar Association applied for and won a $750 grant from the American Bar Association's Law Student Division to purchase the instruments. The ABA division is now promoting the program to other law schools.
