Duquesne law student details human rights struggles, immigrant dreams in PG editorial

Fayezeh Haji Hassan, 3L, wrote a personal essay this week detailing the human rights violations her family experienced in Iran, Afghanistan, and other counties, and why she urges Americans to speak out against the U.S. immigration ban targeting Muslim-majority countries. 

“I have seen the worst chaos from the absence of the rule of law,” says Hassan in a February 5, 2017, op-ed in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, “And I will try my best to prevent it from happening here.

"Americans, do not turn us away.”
