Evening of Italian Music, Food Will Help Purchase Therapeutic Chairs for Chemo Patients

For the past few years, some patients at the Women’s Cancer Center of Magee-Women’s Hospital have undergone their sometimes hours-long chemotherapy treatments while resting in special therapeutic chairs designed with a patient’s comfort in mind.

Duquesne University School of Law students and faculty will once again present an evening of Italian food, song and entertainment at the 5th Annual La Legge con Brio to benefit Panucci’s Promise, which purchases the approximately $4,000-therapeutic chairs each year for patients at the Women’s Cancer Center.

Sponsored by the Duquesne Italian-American Law Society, tickets are $25 and can be purchased online

Pannucci’s Promise is an organization established in memory of Peggy Panucci, the mother of Duquesne School of Law alumnus Brian Panucci, who was diagnosed with inflammatory breast cancer and was treated at the Magee Women’s Cancer Center. She passed away in September 2011.

Friday, March 11, from 7 to 9:30 p.m.

PNC Recital Hall, Mary Pappert School of Music, Duquesne University, 600 Forbes Ave., Pittsburgh.
