Legal panel on immigrant rights to discuss ‘What You Need to Know’

What:   The Duquesne University School of Law will host the second annual Legal Panel on Immigrant Rights, which will address the issues faced by the local immigrant population. 

Among the topics to be discussed:

  • Interactions with the police
  • Collateral immigration consequences
  • Employment and workers’ rights
  • Domestic violence and support.

 Panelists include:

  • The Hon. Eleanor Bush, judge, Family Division, Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas
  • Thomas N. Farrell, criminal defense attorney
  • Joyce Gallagher Ramirez, immigration attorney
  • Nicola Henry-Taylor, family law and criminal defense attorney
  • John W. Zatkos Jr., employment law attorney. 


Spanish and Arabic interpreters will be available. The panel is co-sponsored by the School of Law’s Hispanic-American Bar Association, the African and Islamic Law Society, the International Law Society and the Criminal Law Society as well as the Law Office of Nicola Henry-Taylor LLC. 

When:   Saturday, April 30, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Where:   Room 303, School of Law, Duquesne University, 600 Forbes Ave., Pittsburgh.
