Prof. McCants Lewis leads expungement and pardon workshop

Prof. Tracey McCants Lewis is leading an expungement workshop on Sat., April 22, 2017, as part of the Family Life Empowerment's Community Resource Day. The workshop is being held at the Northside's Central North Banquet Hall and Event Center in partnership with the City of Pittsburgh Group Violence Intervention. 

McCants Lewis will discuss expungement, sealing, and pardon laws in Pennsylvania and Duquesne University School of Law's free legal assistance through its clinics. The associate professor and student lawyers from the Civil Rights Clinic will then assist residents in attendance. McCants Lewis is the supervising attorney of the Civil Rights Clinic and interim co-director of Duquesne Law's clinical legal education. Among her community and professional roles, she is an appointed member of the Pennsylvania Board of Pardons.
